County-supported health services have returned to the Poolesville area for the first time since the 1980’s! They currently send a social worker and a community health worker and offer mental and behavioral health consultations as well as linkages to social service resources. They will soon be adding additional medical and dental services. The Mobile Health Clinic visits every first and third Thursday from 9:30am – 5:30pm at the WUMCO building. (17821 Elgin Rd.) Spanish speaking staff is available.

Care for Your Health provides low cost medical care and consultations for those 18 years and older on the first and third Saturdays of each month from 9:00am-1:00pm at Poolesville Baptist Church (17550 W Willard Rd, across from the high school). Insured and uninsured welcome. Low copays. Medical funds may be available through WUMCO to help cover additional costs. Call Care for Your Health at 240-258-8583 to make an appointment.

A licensed social worker visits WUMCO on the first and third Thursday of the month for free counseling and connection to resources. Call WUMCO at 301-972-8481 to make an appointment.

Pro Bono Counseling Project’s WARMLine is a free mental health resource for Marylanders who are experiencing increased stress, anxiety, and life transition concerns. The Pro Bono Counseling WARMLine is staffed by mental health professionals, 10AM-8PM, Monday-Friday and 10AM-6PM on Saturday and Sunday. Callers can connect to the WARMLine by directly calling 410-598-0234.
The WARMLine is great for callers who are not sure if they want ongoing counseling but would like to receive brief mental health support about stressful situations. Callers who speak a language other than English will be immediately connected to an interpreter.
Need help applying for SNAP? Utility Assistance? Temporary Cash Assistance? Come see our DHHS staff now at WUMCO. The Community Action Agency’s Navigation Team will be at WUMCO the 3rd Thursday of the month from 9:00-4:30pm to help residents connect with county and community services.
